We are a non-profit organization with a vision that all Delaware students achieve their own academic, emotional, and social potential.

The Mission of DASP is to represent and support Delaware school psychologists in their efforts to enhance the learning, mental health, and behavior of all Delaware students.

Advocacy - DASP engages in actions that seek to positively influence the lives of the students we serve and the status of school psychology in Delaware.

DASP understands the importance of supporting all of a child’s unique needs and partnering with their families and communities to do so.

DASP partners with related organizations, agencies, and others to work towards similar goals.

Objectives

  • To ensure that School Psychologists in Delaware have the skills and competencies needed to meet the learning, mental health, and social competence needs of all children and youth;
  • To maintain an effective infrastructure (e.g. governance, state visibility, DASP office, and financial stability) to enable efficient and responsive services to all School Psychologists, and to create and maintain relationships with similar organizations through the Government and Professional Relations (GPR) committee;
  • To provide opportunities for professional fellowship and for the exchange of professional ideas and concerns among its members;
  • To promote and maintain high standards of professional services amongst DASP members;
  • To promote the work and value of school psychological services, while supporting the application of appropriate research-based educational and mental heath services for all children and their families;
  • To advocate for comprehensive programs and services to support the emotional and social well-being of children in the state of Delaware.
